Cloning a listing/photos from another organization

An agent may only copy/clone a listing that is within the same organization their ID is associated with.  However, SmartMLS staff members have the ability to copy a listing and/or photos from a different organization than the list agent is currently with.

In order to do it, we need to get written permission from the Broker/manager of the office where the original listing (source) is.  The previous Broker must write down the specific list number(s) that the new list agent has permission to copy from and whether or not they are also granting permission to copy photos as well.

In order to stay compliant with the new photo copyright/ownership rules that went into effect in early 2022, if photos are going to be copied, the previous Broker must also provide the photographer agreement that covers the listing(s) that photos are being copied from.

Without written permission, we are not allowed to copy listings or photos between organizations.

Any written permission should be sent to changes@smartmls.com.

Whoever processes the request is responsible for filing it.
