Is MLS ID the same thing as MLS number?

No, MLS ID and MLS number are not the same thing.

MLS ID is your user name/login ID. It is the first thing you enter when you log into SmartMLS (the second being your password). It is also the same thing as your List/Sales Agent ID. SmartMLS assigns users their own unique MLS ID (we do not use email addresses as User IDs).

MLS number, also known as list/listing number, is the number assigned to a specific listing. All new listings entered through Matrix are automatically assigned a 9 digit numerical MLS number that begins with 170 (ex: 170123456).
