If you happen to make a mistake when entering the list price on a New listing, don't panic! We can fix it for you.
Your best bet is to reach out to the MLS immediately. Do not try to fix it yourself, as this will result in the listing showing as Increased or Decreased rather than New. If you contact SmartMLS, we will adjust the list price to match the price that is on the listing agreement. However, we cannot adjust the price until you have uploaded the listing agreement, so please make sure you have already done so before contacting us. When we make the change behind the scenes, the listing will still show as New (and not as a price change).
If you happen to make this type of mistake outside of our business hours, you have a couple of options:
- You can fix it yourself, knowing that the listing will show as Increased/Decreased until we are able to fix it for you the next business day.
- You can leave it as is and contact SmartMLS to make the correction. You can send an email to email@example.com with the listing information and we will fix it the next business day.
Regardless of your choice, it is vital that the listing agreement (or Listing Agreement Compliance Certification) is uploaded to the listing. We cannot make any changes until we verify the correct price from your paperwork.
