Unique Parcel IDs

 

The SmartMLS system does not use the same Parcel ID that you find on a field card.  We use unique parcel ID numbers because our database covers the entire state of Connecticut (whereas the individual town data bases cover only that town, leading to the very real possibility that two separate towns use the same Parcel ID for different properties).

 

If you try to use the Parcel ID from the town records/field card when entering a listing, you will get an incorrect parcel record.  You must perform a Tax Search to find the correct SmartMLS Parcel ID.

 

You can find the Parcel ID numbers in our system by using the Tax menu and entering the County, Town and Address fields:
