When you send emails from Matrix, you are not emailing from your own personal email account- you are sending an email off of the SmartMLS Matrix email server. We mask the email so it appears to the recipient as though it came right from you, even though it really does not. With this masking, your recipient will hopefully recognize your name and open it up. And, if they reply to the email, the reply will go back to you (it goes to the email address SmartMLS has in your membership record).
Because we mask emails, there is a chance that some email programs/mail filters will think the email is suspicious and filter it out to a Junk or Spam email folder (instead of sending it directly to the recipient's Inbox). If this happens, find one of the Matrix emails in the Junk/Spam folder and you should be able to tell your mail program that it is not junk or spam, and that the sender should be trusted. Once that is done, future emails from Matrix should go right to the Inbox and not get filtered out as Junk or Spam.
