Did you know that you can search for tax records (also known as public records) right from within Matrix?
There is a separate Tax option in the menu at the top center of Matrix that allows you to search through Matrix's embedded public records database:
Note: when you place your mouse cursor over Tax, you will not see another menu open (they was it does when you put the mouse cursor over Search, for instance). Just click the word Tax to open the search.
The Tax search screen looks quite similar to a listing search screen:
Although there are many search fields that are specifically designed for public records information, in many instances the address fields (highlighted in orange above) will be most helpful when you are doing a Tax search.
Note: there is a Parcel Number(s) field that allows you to search by entering the Parcel ID of a property. You will not get any matches, however, if you enter a parcel number that you get from a field card, from Town Hall, etc. This field only works when entering Matrix parcel ID numbers.
Remember- Matrix uses its own, unique parcel ID that is different than what is on the field card.
