CoreLogic made a minor change to the Matrix End User License Agreement (EULA) on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. The updated EULA language explicitly prohibits using Matrix with automated processes and applications, including scripts, scrapers, bots, spiders, etc. The Matrix user interface has always been intended for human use only; this EULA change simply codifies that policy.
The update is in response to activity logs that suggest a very small percentage of users may be accessing larger-than-normal quantities of Matrix data via automated processes. Any automated use of the Matrix user interface may indicate illegitimate activity that poses a security risk. Together with this EULA update, CoreLogic is implementing additional bot-detection and bot-blocking security measures at the Web Application Firewall level. Of course, CoreLogic will continue to fully support programmatic access to Matrix data by appropriate, authorized methods such as Web API and RETS.
The new EULA will require you to accept the revised agreement before using Matrix.. You can print the document and can view on the screen but you must accept before you can access Matrix.
Both versions of the EULA are attached to this article (in case you would like to print them for your records).
